New reports suggest Samsung's highly anticipated Gear S3 smartwatch will hit market shelves sometime in mid-November. The first markets to get the new flagship wearable will be Korea, The United States and some of the major European nations, reported The Korea Times. After the Galaxy Note 7 fiasco, Samsung is expecting to get back users' interest with the Gear S3 smartwatch.
Talking about the Samsung Gear S3 smartwatch specs, the wearable device has been equipped with impeccable features which makes it stand out from its competitors including Apple Watch Series 2. Available in three different variants- Classic, Frontier, and Frontier LTE- the Gear S2 successor is Samsung's first device ever which is capable of connecting to higher-speed LTE networks, reported Android Authority.
Among other specs, all the Samsung Gear S3 variants feature a 1.3-inch Super AMOLED display with 360 x 360 resolution and Gorilla Glass SR+ screen protection, Tizen OS, Samsung's Exynos 7270 dual 1GHz processor, 768MB RAM, 4GB of storage, IP68 water resistance certification, 4G LTE connectivity, contactless Samsung Pay and built-in GPS. There's also, a heart-rate monitor, a light sensor, an accelerometer, an altimeter, a barometer and a speedometer on board.
Notably, the Classic and Frontier Gear S3 models differ in terms of physical look and design. The Classic smartwatch variant gives a luxury feel with a stainless steel body and rotating bezel, while, the Frontier Gear S3 variant has a rugged and tough exterior look. Last but not the least, the Samsung Gear S3 Frontier LTE variant offers high-speed wireless Internet connectivity.
